First kiss yesterday?

i met this great guy yesterday at the beach and we hit it off. then we hung out with friends later and we hooked up. it was my first time and i told him it was my first time before we kissed and it was really awkward at first but then we started kissing and it felt fine.. well later he told his friend that it was "whatever"...im not sure what that means but I'm really confused. i feel like since he's my first kiss im emotionally attached to him. is that normal? he is really sweet but it seems like all he wanted was a hookup and that bothers me..Im not sure what to do. btw we are 15 if that helps !
