Why do I love women who treat me badly?

It seems like I only am attracted to women with some sort of emotional problem or something. All I know is that I pour my heart and soul into relationships with women who beat the living snot out of me emotionally. it's almost like I have psychobitch radar and I hone in the most damaged ones. What makes someone do that sort of thing?
